This photograph is clearly of the bottom of Long Hill Rise. The very bottom is of the gates into the former Vedonis Factory. The house facing onto Watnall Road is ? 176 Watnall Road, but was built as part of the Long Hill Rise project by Bodills, the well known Hucknall builders who were responsible for the whole of Long Hill Rise, and where at least six of the family members resided. Indeed the white bungalow to the right was occupied by Bill Bodill, the son of Mr.W.H.Bodill, a former Councillor in Hucknall Urban District. The two white houses opposite where occupied by another family members Mrs. Louise Bodill, and the other one by Mr.William Mee, Painter and Decorator.
