Picture shows a parade walking through Hucknall to mark a Christian festival - possibly Whitsuntide.
The cassocks (black, ankle-length robes) and surplices (white overshirts) indicate that this is likely to be church choir.

This is clearly a 1930's photograph, judging by the 'bus which is shown on the right of the picture. The photograph is taken from Yorke Street with the procession moving from the Market Place along South Street toward Yorke Street. It appears to be a procession of different choirs who probably had all been taking part in a "choir festival" at St.Mary's Church. Other viewers may be able to add more comment.
