The Vedonis Factory was a well known Hucknall landmark, and over the years thousands of "Hucknall Girls" worked there. The site was cleared some years after the factory closed and is now the site of housing. It is interesting that the origial factory wall and railings have been retained in front of the site on Watnall Road (Farley Lane/Watnall Road corner), and the avenues bear names associated with the factory.
